Treasurers Report

Eric Von Tersch produced the treasurer’s report. He remarked that the future funding has now made it difficult for us to enjoy the certainty of previous years He thanked all the members for their continued support.

Secretary’s Report

Another year has passed albeit not without its challenges and changes. Unfortunately due to injury we have lost a couple of people Barry, Paul  Simon O and Dee hopefully  they will get well soon and be back playing with us . We also lost Simon Webb due to work commitments. I have had enquiries from new police officers and although they are keen getting time off from duties is proving difficult for them.

This year we have had success in the National Tournaments with Chloe winning the Ladies OOM and Barry runner up for the men. A special mention must go to Dan M Jim K Fin and Geoff for their brilliant haul of medals from WPFG held in Belfast. Looking forward to the next one Washington 2015.

Eric continues to be the backbone of this club with his stalwart running of the accounts and I would like to thank him for all his effort this last year. Also I have to say thanks to Barry for keeping the scoring up to date on the website even though his heart is not in it he would rather be fishing.

With financial restrictions again this year we have some challenges ahead, but I am sure with every ones continued commitment we can overcome them and have a successful year.

Matters Arising

MPAA changes to club funding

From May 2014 the MPAA will only fund half of our National Events per bowler per year (May to April) .It was agreed that a spreadsheet would be prepared and sent out to all bowlers for them to select the events they wish to have paid for, also for them to select the events they wanted to pay for themselves (subject to normal qualification by our club rules)

Club Shirts

A new shirt was handed round to the members in attendance for them to try on for size. The shirt was deemed as good quality and fit for purpose. It was proposed that the shirt should be ordered for all

MPAA Colours Nomination

The members decided by a vote that this year’s nomination would be Mark Evans. He will collect his colours at the MPAA AGM in September.

Changing one of our events from singles to doubles

This was discussed and decided that we would look at the events we currently bowl in to see if one of them could have a change of format.

Proposed Daniel Meaton - Seconded Alan Hanafin

Increase annual club membership fee.

This was discussed by the members present and agreed by vote to increase the yearly amount to £25.00 per person. The money raised would assist us at future events.

Proposed Mark Evans Seconded Alan Hanafin

Honorarium The honorarium of officers was discussed for this year and the members decided it should continue. This was providing the MPAA do not raise any objections or queries.

Proposed Clive Knowles   Seconded Daniel Meaton

AOB

It was discussed that our National Event should continue at Tolworth as this is the best venue available.

The raffle was discussed and it was decided by the members that at our event in 2015 the amount of money spent on raffle prizes would be reduced. Also the members would not have to contribute towards the raffle as they have done in previous years.

The Chairman thanked everyone for attending. The meeting closed at 18.00
